About The Position

The School District of Suwannee County is seeking a School Psychologist for an 11-month position. The role involves improving the academic achievement, behavioral/social skills, and emotional well-being of all students through direct contact with students or through testing and consultation with other professionals. The position reports to the Executive Director of Student Services and Exceptional Student Services.

Requirements

• Master's degree in School Psychology from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Florida certification as School Psychologist and appropriate licensure.
• Internship in a school setting.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

• Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish short- and long-range plans to support the District exceptional student educational plan.
• Plan and prepare intervention strategies for parents and teachers.
• Prioritize and organize schedules and activities.
• Establish a positive and supportive environment for psychological services.
• Communicate clearly defined expectations to students.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and complete records.
• Conduct valid psychological and psycho-educational assessments.
• Analyze and interpret information to make diagnoses and recommendations.
• Assist schools and the district in preparing for changing curriculum and service needs.
• Participate in Child Study, eligibility, and IEP committees.
• Conduct inservice training for faculty and staff.
• Act in a professional and ethical manner.

Benefits

• Salary range of $50,219-$65,598 based on the 2024-25 Salary Schedule.
