About The Position
Democracy Prep is seeking a leader and education reformer committed to the mission of college success and authentic civic engagement for all scholars, particularly those facing significant challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of raising student achievement in a classroom for at least four years and will be dedicated to aligning their school with Democracy Prep's commitment to antiracism. This role requires an educator who values diverse perspectives and is committed to empowering young people and working alongside communities. The candidate should be adept at translating academic standards into effective instructional design and have experience in building leadership capacity in others. Strong communication skills are essential for connecting with students, families, and staff, as well as for tailoring communication to various stakeholder groups. A data-informed approach to leadership and a willingness to learn and adapt based on new information are also crucial.
