About The Position

The position requires active P.O.S.T. certification, with completion of Modules I, II, and III as per 11 CCR § 1005. Candidates should have the ability to speak in a designated second language and experience in a K-12 public school setting is desirable. A valid California class 'C' Driver License and the use of an automobile are required. All appointees must be citizens of the United States or permanent resident aliens who are eligible for and have applied for citizenship. Additionally, all appointees must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment. The appointment is subject to fingerprinting, a review of conviction records, and a background investigation.

Requirements

• Active P.O.S.T. certification with completion of Modules I, II, and III.
• Ability to speak in a designated second language (desirable).
• Experience in a K-12 public school setting (desirable).
• Valid California class 'C' Driver License and use of an automobile.
• Must be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien eligible for citizenship.
• Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
• Must qualify periodically with a revolver or a semi-automatic pistol.
