About The Position

Special Education Paraprofessional (Full-Time) Potential Inc. Location: Springtime School, Newtown, Bucks County Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM Extended School Year: 210 school days (includes paid in-service days, holidays, and breaks!) Reliable Pay: Consistent salaried income-not dependent on billable hours or student attendance. Student Population: K–12+ students ages 6–21 with Autism At Springtime School, part of Potential Inc., we are dedicated to helping children and adolescents with Autism build meaningful skills and reach their fullest potential. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will be an essential member of our educational team, supporting learners in a nurturing, structured, and joyful environment grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Reliable transportation to Springtime School in Newtown, Bucks County
  • Availability Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
  • Able to implement safe crisis management techniques when necessary, including: Moving from standing to kneeling positions and back Supporting a student's body weight (15–50 lbs) Bending, moving quickly, and maintaining activity for sustained periods
  • No medical condition that would inhibit participation in required safety procedures (e.g., recent surgery, heart conditions)

Responsibilities

  • Support Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in cultivating a positive, engaging classroom environment
  • Implement ABA strategies to help students progress on their individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Assist with academic instruction, behavioral supports, and leisure activities that promote independence, well-being, and quality of life
  • Arrive before the school day to prepare materials, review IEP updates, and ensure routines are ready for students
  • Encourage flexibility and growth by helping students balance structure with independence-supporting them in moving beyond rigid routines
  • Participate in collaborative training, receive constructive feedback, and engage in ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to a mission-driven team dedicated to creating joyful, meaningful learning experiences
