The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. This position reports to (supervisor): Linda Paul Function/Duties of Position Education Activities (Includes didactic, clinical, and mentoring activities) : Didactic Teaching: Provides effective classroom instruction based on teaching assignments, using appropriate instructional technologies to ensure that course outcomes are met. Participates collaboratively in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum. Clinical Teaching: Plans, supervises, and delivers effective clinical instruction in lab, simulation, and real-world healthcare settings, ensuring students apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Student Mentorship and Supervision: Mentors and advises students across academic and professional development areas. Faculty in the doctoral program supervise students in dissertation and/or clinical inquiry projects. Scholarly Activities (R esearch/writing, abstracts, grant-supported work, presentations, etc.) : Participates in scholarly activities based on faculty rank. At the Assistant Professor rank or higher, faculty in the practice mission, demonstrates competence in an area of clinical expertise and engages in inquiry and scholarship that contributes to the science of clinical practice. At the Assistant Professor rank or higher, faculty in the research mission advance a program of research, prepare grants and seek funding, and engage with other missions to foster inquiry within the SON. Service Activities: These activities could include committee membership, professional activities, and other campus specific activities as assigned by the Program or Academic Director. Participates in faculty governance; additional strategic initiatives based on rank. Administrative Activities: As negotiated. Other Activities: The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service.

Requirements

  • Lecturer: BSN
  • Instructor: MSN or equivalent
  • Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor: PhD/DNP or equivalent
  • Oregon RN license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
