About The Position

This is a regular, full-time, hourly, non-exempt and benefit-eligible staff position at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM@UCO) in Oklahoma City, OK. The pay rate for this position is $28.37 per hour, which is approximately $59,009.60 per year. The primary responsibility of this role is to tune, maintain, and repair all pianos for the School of Music and ACM@UCO. This includes coordinating piano moving with outside contractors, developing and updating a maintenance plan for pianos, and keeping track of piano inventory while recommending purchases as needed.

Requirements

• General education or vocational training.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with faculty, staff, and administration.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and effective leadership and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to tune and maintain harpsichords, organs, and other keyboard instruments.

Responsibilities

• Tune, maintain, and repair all pianos for the School of Music and ACM@UCO.
• Coordinate piano moving with outside contractors as necessary.
• Develop and update a maintenance plan for pianos on the UCO campus.
• Keep track of piano inventory and recommend purchasing as needed.
• Responsible for all pianos for the College of Fine Arts and Design, with emphasis on the Music Building, Mitchell Hall, ACM Building, and Jazz Lab.
• Perform concert tuning and preparation, maintenance including regulation, voicing, repairs, and rebuilding.
• Work with the School of Music Piano Division Head, Director of the School of Music, and Director of ACM@UCO to determine tuning and repair schedule.
• Submit monthly reports on piano maintenance and repairs.
• Perform other related duties as determined by the needs of the School of Music and ACM@UCO.
