About The Position
Adelphi is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and/or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provides direct, one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile student within the school setting in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the student’s health, safety, and access to educational activities throughout the school day.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current LPN/RN license in North Carolina
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pediatric or special needs care (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to assigned student in accordance with their care plan (IEP/504)
- Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, feeding support (including G-tube), and airway/respiratory care
- Monitor and document the student’s health status, vital signs, and any changes in condition
- Support the student’s daily activities and mobility, including classroom participation and safe transportation (bus duty if required)
- Maintain communication and compliance with school staff, families, and all applicable policies, regulations, and care standards
- Any other duties assigned
