2026-2027 School Year 1.00 FTE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington State RN License with Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) Washington State Educator Staff Associate certificate with a school nurse endorsement Possess a WA State Health registered nurse license Able to provide own transportation Bilingual in Spanish/English Positive evaluations and recommendations Previous successful public health or school nurse experience preferred Continuing Education/Training: Maintaining current knowledge of PBIS and MTSS Skills and ability to demonstrate a commitment to a diverse and inclusive working and learning environment. Skills and ability to demonstrate an understanding of equity; specifically focused on the intersection of race, language, gender, and disability. Ability to train and supervise health room assistants. Student cultural and economic diversity experience, preferred. Skills and abilities in organization, time management, and record keeping. Ability to operate technology devices and specific software programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Maintain consistent attendance and conform to regular work hours specified under contract PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Individualized Student Support Provides a continuum services of consultation to building teams in order to meet the inclusion needs of students. Provide nursing assessments for students with health concerns Works with students, staff, and parents to assess needs for the creation and development of health plans for students. Responds to emergency health situations for the purpose of resolving immediate health concerns and/or directing to appropriate medical intervention for resolution. Other Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills. Attends staff and other professional meetings as may be assigned or necessary. Demonstrate positive relationship skills with students, parents and district staff, maintaining ongoing and open communication. Possess knowledge of and adheres to School District Policy and Procedures. Use technology for communication, presentations, trainings, and workshops. Participate in special projects as assigned and perform related duties and key responsibilities consistent with the scope and intent of the position. Personal leave, vacation leave (for 260-day employees only), and sick leave are prorated based on full-time employment status.
