About The Position
The role of the nurse is to assess, consult, educate and intervene as needed to maximize classroom time, reduce absences due to illness and support a healthy school environment. This position involves working collaboratively with health care providers, students, parents, school district staff, and community agencies to ensure access and continuity of care for students. The nurse will assist in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive school health program, collect health information for compliance with state regulations, and conduct various health assessments and programs.
