About The Position

School Nurse - Summer Position MOST (Malden Out-Of School Time) Program Ferryway School (1 Position) General Description: The summer school nurse oversees the health and wellness of students and staff members enrolled in Ferryway's MOST (Malden Out-Of School Time) Summer Program.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Familiar with life threatening allergy protocols
• Committed to working in and fostering an inclusive community
• Respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies
• Work collaboratively and independently
• Maintain an enthusiastic and positive presence with all students, staff and families
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and risk management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily care and administration of OTC and prescribed medications
• Provide emergency care to students and staff when needed
• Maintain daily medical log records and report any student incidents to the program coordinators
• Perform other job-related duties
