About The Position
The School Nurse is responsible for performing student medical/health procedures as required during the school day, with parent permission according to a physician’s order in accordance with the Tennessee Nursing Practice Act, applicable state laws, and the Greeneville City Schools job description. The part time/as needed position works no more than 29.5 hours per week and does NOT include benefits.
Requirements
- Current valid unrestricted license to practice as an RN/LPN in the state of Tennessee is required.
- CPR BLS by American Heart Certification required prior to start date.
- Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law.
- Must meet health and physical requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in pediatric nursing, public health nursing, school health nursing, or community health nursing preferred.
