Requirements

  • Experience counts! We accept equivalent work experience in human services (teaching, daycare, CNA, etc.) or a BA/BS degree. One year of related work = one year of college.
  • Great with people—strong communication and empathy are a must.
  • Comfortable in a variety of human service settings.
  • Able to pass drug screen & be subject to a random drug testing pool.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong school partnerships by developing positive, professional relationships with administrators, counselors, teachers, and support staff while demonstrating a clear understanding of school policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Support early identification and referral processes by collaborating with school personnel to recognize youth who may benefit from mental health services and educating staff about available programs and service options.
  • Provide guidance on referrals and documentation, including training key school staff on intake procedures, required paperwork, and assessment tools (such as CBCLs), ensuring referrals are accurate and complete.
  • Facilitate timely service access by coordinating communication between schools, families, intake therapists, and clinical supervisors to reduce delays and remove barriers to care.
  • Engage and support families through outreach, education about available services, and collaborative problem-solving to address transportation, scheduling, stigma, or other barriers to treatment participation.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to monitor student progress, ensure appropriate levels of care, and adjust services as needed to promote optimal functioning at school, home, and in the community.
  • Complete thorough and timely documentation, tracking, and reporting in compliance with program standards, including use of assessment tools such as CAFAS or DLA-20 when required.
  • Provide direct CBS/Waiver services as needed, serving as an adjunct to the assigned Case Manager. Services may include Targeted Case Management, Parent Support, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Groups.
