The Institute for School-Community Partnerships, Integrative Services, and Child Mental Health and Educational Policy (ISCP), part of the College of Education, envisions all schools in Florida and nationally providing safe, effective environments for continuous improvement in academic, social, and emotional growth, and active family/community engagement. With a nearly $23 million grant-derived budget, ISCP's mission is to implement and evaluate research-based and innovative practices through training, technical assistance, community-engaged research, resource development, and infrastructure support for federal and state educational policy. The School Improvement Coordinator supports and monitors various improvement plans (School Improvement Plan, District Managed Turnaround Plan, Turnaround Option Plan) for schools and districts within the BSI Region 1, Florida Counties. This role involves direct collaboration with school leadership and staff to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. The position demands a deep understanding of quality teaching and learning, the ability to devise strategies and systems for instructional improvement at district and school levels, and proficiency in Florida's Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking. Key requirements include using and analyzing data to identify instructional needs and possessing strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder relationships. This grant-funded position requires at least 75% in-state travel for meetings, workshops, conferences, and site-related monitoring and instructional reviews.
