About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full‑time, year‑round on‑site School Dietitian to support the Salem-Keizer School District in Portland, OR. This role supports student well‑being through menu accommodations, the student allergy and special diets program, and engaging nutrition education for students, families, and staff. You’ll collaborate with school teams to ensure safe, compliant, and inclusive meal service while supporting wellness initiatives across multiple districts. New graduates and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply, with strong training and a supportive network available through Sodexo. Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal Three weeks of vacation, eight holidays and three personal days paid each year Reimbursement for continuing education events

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian with Oregon licensure, or eligible for registration and license
  • Experience managing menu accommodations for special diets
  • Strong passion for working with students and motivating long-term healthy nutritional habits
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian

Responsibilities

  • Lead our student meal programs and serve as the unit subject matter expert in student wellness
  • Be responsible for dietary needs/requests and work closely with school nurses, students, and families
  • Be responsible for menu planning and dietary accommodations
  • Conduct educational events in the schools
