About The Position

The School Crossing Guard or Relief for School Crossing Guard will: Control and direct children safely through crosswalks Observe traffic Maintain time sheets, maintain attendance sheets, complete tracking records Be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Must have no convictions involving moral turpitude. Must be available for short notice calls to work. Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 8:15 am, and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. This is an on-call position that requires the employee to provide a reliable automobile to transport crossing guard equipment to job site and cell phone to be reached for short notice calls to duty or calls for assistance in an emergency. Regular and timely attendance is required. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation is required
• Must have no convictions involving moral turpitude
• Ability to read and understand the English language
• Effectively communicate with children and adults
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to perform basic math
• Able to lift 10 to 15 lbs. overhead
• Walk unassisted over uneven terrain
