About The Position

The Noon Duty Supervisor at Washington Unified School District is responsible for supervising students in the school lunchroom and on the playground under direct supervision. The role involves following school procedures to ensure the safety and orderliness of students during lunch and recess periods. Typical duties include seating students in the cafeteria, supervising their behavior, assisting in maintaining order, preventing vandalism, and ensuring students return to class promptly after lunch. Additional responsibilities may include setting up and clearing tables, observing student behavior, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of school procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to work harmoniously with administrators, teachers, students, and other employees.
• Good judgment in reinforcing good behavior and dealing with misbehavior.
• Ability to learn and enforce school rules in areas of responsibility.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Ability to prepare simple written reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supervising and/or working with youth through service or youth organizations such as Boy or Girl Scouts, church school classes, or recreation groups.

Responsibilities
