About The Position
The School Counselor works to prepare high school students towards graduation and college and career planning through meetings with students, parents, and teachers. The School Counselor develops consistent dialogue, motivational relationships with students/parent-families, promotes school policies and the 'individualized' learning procedures. The incumbent will also provide social emotional counseling and support services for some identified students. The incumbent is expected to remain calm under pressure, work cooperatively with team members and others to provide the highest level of service possible and work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.
