Reports to: School Principal Deadline for application: Until-Filled EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required: Master's degree in Counseling Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider license with school counselor endorsement Preferred: CPI training (training provided) Bilingual preferred JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: Lead for the development and implementation of a robust high school MTSS program. Facilitate and support staff learning around the MTSS model, tiered interventions, awareness of early warning system indicators, de-escalation strategies, and a common vocabulary in working with students on grades, attendance, behavior and college-going aspirations. Support small student groups and advisory classes in facilitation and creation of lessons that support the MTSS program to be implemented across the school in supporting student academic and social/emotional growth. Applicant must have the ability to relate to and work with young adolescents and must be willing to work collaboratively with a school team. Extra duties may include providing counseling, advising, tutoring, mentoring, family involvement activities, career education programs and activities, post-secondary information workshops and college campus visits.
