Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field.
Current and valid state counselor certification, valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS)
Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience providing academic counseling services to Title I students in a public or nonprofit private school setting.

Experience serving economically and culturally diverse urban student populations preferred.

Responsibilities

Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
