Monday - Friday Position - 30 Hours School Setting – Special Education - $17.00 Support and reinforce classroom instruction by adapting activities and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher. Administer and oversee tests, homework, and makeup assignments to assist in academic progress monitoring. Provide personal care and assistance to medically fragile or developmentally delayed students, including feeding, toileting, and specialized healthcare tasks (e.g., tube feeding, colostomy care). Attend training sessions and meetings to stay current on procedures such as CPR, first aid, and emergency protocols. Communicate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student development and help implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Escort students safely between locations on campus (e.g., classrooms, restrooms, cafeteria). Implement behavior intervention plans under teacher supervision, reinforcing positive behaviors and learning objectives. De-escalate conflicts using appropriate behavioral and therapeutic techniques to ensure a safe learning environment. Maintain accurate instructional records and documentation to meet compliance and support learning goals. Model appropriate behavior and social skills in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner. Supervise students throughout the school day in diverse settings, ensuring safety and structure. Perform clerical tasks including copying, data entry, and filing to support daily classroom operations.
