Full-Time School Bus Driver
About The Position
PLA Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and field trips. PLA is a transformative education nonprofit dedicated to changing communities by providing extensive resources beyond traditional education models. This includes operating turnaround schools, launching charter school start-ups, and offering programs like Summer Advantage, Reading and Math Advantage, and Skilled US for high school graduates and their families. This unique network provides staff with opportunities for career advancement and increased income.
Requirements
- CDL license and yellow card
- No at-fault traffic accidents in the last 5 years
- Clean driving record (no traffic citations in the last 5 years)
- Ability to carry out assigned routes on time
- Excellent communication skills

- High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Assistance with transporting students from designated pickup points and drop-off at school
- Transport students from school and to their designated drop-off point
- Follow assigned bus routes
- Field trips are required
- Moderate familiarity with bus routes
- Provide a safe transportation environment for all students
