As a School Bus Driver at Kobussen Buses, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of student transportation. No prior experience is required. We provide paid training to help you obtain your CDL and endorsements. Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Valid driver’s license for at least the last 3 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL with S and P endorsements (training provided)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to sit for long periods and work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and meet the physical demands of the role

Responsibilities

  • Operate a school bus safely and effectively to transport students on assigned routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of the bus.
  • Ensure student safety and enforce bus rules fairly and consistently.
  • Report any mechanical issues or incidents to the maintenance team and dispatch.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school officials.
  • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow all DOT, state, and company safety regulations and policies.
