The School Bus Driver position is responsible for operating a school bus and transporting students. This role requires the ability to professionally relate to and collaborate with co-workers, students, and community members, while maintaining confidentiality and using technology effectively to complete tasks. The driver must report to work daily and on time, possess effective organizational skills, and be able to work independently. Effective written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and work under pressure. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and requirements for operating a school bus is necessary, along with familiarity with the programs, policies, and procedures of the St. Mary's County Public School System.
