The Transportation/Bus Driver position is responsible for the safe operation of school buses. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and effective management of students while driving.
Safely operate school buses.
Facilitate student management while operating the bus.
High School diploma, GED, or two years previous school bus driving experience.
Texas CDL (Class B) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.
TEA driver certification.
Acceptable driving record.
Ability to read and understand English.
DOT physical/Drug screening.
Pass District Physical Performance Test.
AISD Special Ed Training Course (Special Ed Drivers).
Demonstrate complete physical control and operation of school buses.
Strong communication, public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
