About The Position

The School Behavior Intervention Specialist at the Center for Disability Services is responsible for providing behavioral support and consultation to students and classroom teams at the Prospect School in Queensbury, NY. Requirements

  • Graduate degree (Masters, Doctorate) in Psychology required.
  • Strong clinical background and experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Complete functional analysis and develop behavior intervention plans as necessary.
  • Model the implementation of behavior intervention plans and support their execution.
  • Train staff on the implementation of behavior intervention plans.
  • Become SCIP-R trained and serve as a SCIP-R trainer.
  • Facilitate staff and family training and manage special projects as needed.
