The School Based Therapist works with the Cullman County school schools to ensure mental health care services and resources are available without barriers to support students and help them overcome social, emotional. and behavioral challenges that may impede their academic successes and overall well-being. There are three (3) full-time positions available working Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. What you'll be doing: Perform mental health counseling services in an In-School Counseling Program within the school systems in Cullman. County to reduce barriers in obtaining these services because of travel, time of day, etc. Perform crisis intervention and resolution as necessary. Perform assessments, intakes, transfers and discharges on clients. Manage client caseload to include follow up with clients & guardians. Assist school personnel and parents with community referral sources. Monitor clients' progress toward goals. Obtain release forms from parents, adhere to confidentiality standards. Document information per standards in electronic client chart, i.e. Treatment Plan, Progress Notes, referrals, etc. in a timely & accurate manner. Maintain billable service and productivity standards. Attend required training, staff meetings. Complete other duties as assigned.
