The School Based Therapist works as part of the team providing behavioral health services to the patients of All Care Health Center at our School Based Health Clinic and assists with outreach of the School Based Health Clinic program. SCHEDULE AND PAY Position follows the schedule of local high schools. Summers off (unpaid) until Mid-July! (Full Time/12-Month schedule also available) Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM- 3:30 PM (while schools are open) Pay range is $58,400-$60,000 and based on education, certification and experience.

Requirements

  • Active independent licensure or ability to obtain independent licensure in the state of Iowa as an LISW, LMHC, or LMFT prior to employment.
  • One year of full-time work-related experience in agency and/or medical clinic service delivery (counseling, case management, outreach, prevention/education, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience providing behavioral health therapy to individuals, families, children, and adolescents is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates communication between school partners and ACHC.
  • Identifies barriers and poor social determinants of health that may influence treatment.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions using the current edition of the DSM and ICD.
  • Treat mental health conditions using evidence-based psychotherapy and best practice standards.
  • Develop initial treatment plans and update plans quarterly using measurement-based care standards.
  • Coordinate/Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide evidenced based, culturally appropriate care.
  • Maintains clinical records (assessments, progress notes, phone calls, treatment plans, and other patient communications) that comply with the Behavioral Health Department, accreditation, regulatory, and payor standards.
  • Is prepared for meetings and completes duties/assignments within the timeline set by the clinical supervisor.
  • Participates in quarterly department quality improvement activities.
  • Participates and is prepared for weekly psychotherapy team professional development meetings.
