About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting. This role supports students’ academic success, social development, and functional communication skills through evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive individualized and effective support across educational environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active or eligible California Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) eligibility
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based speech therapy settings
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development
  • Knowledge of IDEA regulations and IEP documentation
  • Excellent organizational and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to support diverse student populations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a school-based SLP role
  • Experience with AAC and assistive communication technologies
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual learning needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Identify articulation, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy services (individual, small group, and classroom-based)
  • Participate in IEP meetings, including goal development, progress monitoring, and reporting
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate, data-driven documentation of student progress
  • Support classroom-based communication strategies
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
  • Attend parent conferences, team meetings, and professional development sessions
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
