Jabbergym, a member of the Point Quest Group, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Lodi, California. This part-time position, requiring 15 to 25 hours per week, is designed for professionals who are passionate about working with children facing various challenges, including emotional disturbances, developmental delays, cognitive delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Under the general supervision of the Director of Related Services, the Occupational Therapist will provide quality, discipline-specific treatment aimed at helping children realize their fullest potential. The role involves evaluating and assessing the educational needs of referred students, focusing on areas such as perceptual-motor skills, motor coordination, self-care, sensory development, fine motor skills, muscle strength, range of motion, postural reflexes, and vocational skills. The Occupational Therapist will develop and implement direct treatment programs or consultation services tailored to the individual needs of students aged birth to 22, as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). This position also requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for each child. In addition to direct therapy, the Occupational Therapist will provide consultation and coaching to other staff members and caregivers, ensuring that all interventions are effectively integrated into the educational setting. The role emphasizes the importance of maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and educational staff, as well as adhering to administrative policies and state and federal regulations. The Occupational Therapist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and participating in meetings as required.
