About The Position

School Based CPST Prevention Specialist Real-world impact. Life-changing outcomes. Position Hire Date: Fall 2026 School Season - Minerva HS placement available! CommQuest seeks a Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST)/Prevention Specialists for our School Based Mental Health (SBMH) team in Stark County area schools. You will provide services that focus on recovery and resiliency to empower individuals experiencing mental illness to integrate, function, and succeed in their communities as well as focusing on prevention. Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required
  • Must have valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, a good driving record, and a personal vehicle
  • Field based position requires visits in schools, home, and neighborhood/community settings. Routine evening hours and flexibility with scheduling required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one or more years of experience in providing CPST and/or Prevention services preferred
  • Previous work experience in working with students in a school setting (Pre-K through 12th) is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health and/or Alcohol/Drug (AOD) interventions including facilitation of individual life skills development, symptom monitoring, crisis management, ongoing assessment of needs, and client advocacy
  • Develop- and coordinate individualized Service Plans (ISP) focusing on recovery and resilience principles
  • Coordinate with schools and community organizations providing presentations, advocacy, and outreach
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
