About The Position

ChristianaCare’s School-Based Health Centers is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Therapist II who demonstrates strong clinical expertise, trauma-informed care, has the ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with diverse student populations and has a deep commitment to patient-centered outcomes to support the DelCastle High School. ChristianaCare's School-Based Health Centers are embedded in high schools and elementary schools across the Newcastle and Kent Counties. The School-Based Health Centers were established especially for students to help make the best quality health care available in our community more accessible to them. The School Based Health Centers provide comprehensive medical and mental health care, treatment and health education to promote a healthy lifestyle. Each health center is operated by a partnership that includes ChristianaCare, school districts, and the Delaware Division of Public Health, Department of Health and Social Services. School-Based Health Centers | ChristianaCare This Part Time Benefits-eligible Behavioral Health Therapist provides office based clinical assessment and mental health therapy services for a diverse caseload of patients Work Schedule: This is a Part-Time Benefits Eligible position from Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:00pm or 7:30am to 3:30pm. The schedule is a 40-hour per week for 42 weeks in a year. No weekends or holidays, offers great opportunity for work-life balance.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctor’s degree which qualifies in their state for licensure or certification is required
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or LCSW preferred
• Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) and Mental Health Counselors (MHCs) with at least 2 years or 3,000 hours of postmaster’s degree clinically supervised experience required and must be licensed in order to bill independently.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mental health setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual psychotherapy with assigned patients and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
• Conducts psychosocial evaluations to provide diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
• Develops coordinated treatment plan in collaboration with other members of the treatment team.
• Reports and updates pertinent patient information to physician and treatment team in a timely manner.
• Identifies milieu deficits and assists in implementing appropriate measures to meet needs.
• Tracks referrals of patients requesting services.
• Ongoing coordination of care with medical providers and psychiatric providers inside and outside the ChristianaCare.
• Completes clinical documentation in a concise, accurate, and timely manner with proper use of technology.
• Participates in all milieu meetings, i.e., practice huddles, team meeting, clinical supervision, community meetings etc.
• Participates in all assigned programs and attends all continuing education opportunities to meet job requirements and maintain current knowledge of the practice of psychotherapy and social work.
• Performs other related duties as required.
