POSITION OVERVIEW Providing assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of daily activities within the school setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to positively interact with all students.
  • Ability to positively and professionally interact with parents.
  • Create a safe learning environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Ability to identify individual student needs.
  • Good communication skills with students, coworkers, administration and parents.
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff.

  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Arizona Employees: Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

  • The Aide will work under the direct supervision of the principal to provide support as needed on the campus.
  • Assists in duties such as making copies, delivering materials, and other projects, as needed.
  • Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
  • Assist in the drop-off and pick-up of children through Driveline, possibly during inclement weather. How Driveline Operates at LTS (video)
  • Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers. How Driveline Works at LTS.
  • Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
  • May assist staff and students in use of educational computer programs.
  • Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor which do not require any professional skills.
  • May periodically work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
