About The Position
A Kid’s World is urgently seeking a reliable, energetic School Age Teacher to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with older children, leading hands-on activities, and creating a safe, engaging environment before and after school.
Requirements
- Dependable and punctual (this is critical)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet DECAL requirements for School Age care
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
- Ability to manage group behavior calmly and confidently
- Positive attitude and team mindset
- Willingness to step in and help where needed
- Prior childcare or school-age experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children ages 5–12
- Lead fun, structured activities (indoor & outdoor)
- Support homework and enrichment activities
- Maintain classroom structure, safety, and ratios
- Communicate clearly with families and leadership
- Model positive behavior and strong leadership
