About The Position
Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) seeks an experienced part-time teacher who will play an important role in the direction of children in the after-school classroom and assist with the implementation of program curriculum. The candidate can provide quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families. The facilitator will give leadership, direction, and supervision to an assigned group of children in the before/afterschool childcare program, treating all children with dignity and respect and allowing for individual differences. The position requires creating an atmosphere of acceptance and caring for each child, comforting children in distress immediately, and showing as much individual attention as possible to each child while being cognizant of the group.
