About The Position

The school-age care Assistant Director is a full-time role that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Director to join our School-Age Care Program team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and organizational skills who is passionate about creating a positive, enriching environment for children ages 5–12. The Assistant Director will support the overall operation of the program, assist in supervising staff, and play a key role in developing and leading activities that engage and inspire. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of 35 college credits
  • Experience working in youth development, childcare, education, or a related field
  • Minimum of one-year of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor program staff, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children and staff
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, staff, and community partners
  • Help manage scheduling, supplies, and administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety guidelines, and organizational policies
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day support to staff and participants in the absence or support of the Director
