About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a caring and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the 2025–2026 school year. This is an in-person, full-time position in a supportive school environment, working directly with students to ensure their health and well-being throughout the school day. Founded in Washington and now also local to Illinois, Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-run company dedicated to elevating your school-based experience. Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license issued by the Department of Health
- School Service Personnel certificate with a School Nurse endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) highly preferred
- School nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond quickly in urgent situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide direct health services to assigned student(s)
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor student health needs and respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant health documentation
