About The Position

The Scholar Success Officer plays a hands-on role in guiding Daniels Scholars to succeed in college and beyond. This position combines individualized student coaching, data-informed decision making, and program execution to ensure Scholars receive the personalized support central to the Daniels Scholarship Program. The Daniels Scholarship Program offers a four-year college scholarship that provides financial and personal support focused on helping Daniels Scholars succeed in college, and in life. Every year, Daniels Scholars are selected from our four-state region of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Daniels Scholars have attended more than 400 colleges and universities in 48 states. Through January 2026, the Daniels Scholarship Program has provided more than $250 million in undergraduate scholarships to nearly 5,500 students. Responsibilities

  • Provide regular communication, resources, and individualized support that strengthen Scholars’ academic, personal, and professional success.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned cohort of Scholars, assessing and processing individual requests in alignment with program expectations and policies.
  • Monitor Scholar compliance by reviewing academic performance, graduation plans, work verification reports, and other required documentation.
  • Uphold the Daniels Scholar Code of Conduct and assist in managing disciplinary situations as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver programmatic activities and materials that build knowledge, develop character, strengthen leadership, and enhance Scholars’ commitment to civic engagement, free enterprise and giving back.
  • Foster partnerships at campus sites by coordinating scholar success activities with scholar ambassadors and campus staff.
  • Engage Scholars consistently through Daniels Scholar Connect to cultivate community and encourage active participation.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of major Scholarship events, including the SHIFT College Orientation Conference, and support annual Scholar selection.
  • Utilize Salesforce and AI tools to analyze Scholar progress, track key outcomes, and generate insights that inform program improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and strong data hygiene within Salesforce for assigned Scholars.
  • Support operational effectiveness through process improvements, Scholar Portal updates, documentation review, and timely responsiveness to scholar needs.
  • Serve as a project manager for large-scale scholarship initiatives across departments as needed.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure alignment and contribute to the continuous enhancement of scholar support systems.
  • Write clear, compelling, and engaging content for distribution to Scholars and for use on program communication channels and social media.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Scholars and the effectiveness of the Scholarship Program.
