About The Position
As a Scheduling Specialist at Interlachen Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that appointments for our team of providers are scheduled accurately and efficiently. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as you will be interacting with patients and their guardians through various channels, including phone calls and text messaging. Your ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls while maintaining a high level of customer service is essential. You will be responsible for facilitating the ongoing relationship between patients and providers, which is a key aspect of our medical home model. In this role, you will be expected to handle appointment scheduling requests, update patient demographics in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, and communicate important information to patients regarding their appointments. Familiarity with appointment reason codes and templates, as well as the standard protocols for different types of appointments, will be necessary to perform your duties effectively. You will also be involved in the registration of new patients and the management of patient recall systems. Interlachen Pediatrics is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, and this commitment is reflected in the expectations for all positions within our office. After a 90-day probationary period, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. This full-time position requires you to work an 8-hour shift, primarily during the day from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
