ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Answers incoming telephone calls from referring physicians or patients, determines the study/studies to be scheduled, finds a appropriate time slot to schedule the patient in, relays the date, time and location of the scheduled study to the caller. Reviews with the caller the preps, warnings and any information needed for the study. Reviews with the caller any information we need for the exam, including patient demographics, insurance information, and prior study information. Answers incoming telephone calls through Mitel systems, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable. RMI to Schedule: Responsible for outgoing calls when RMI receives an order for a patient that is not yet scheduled. Places orders into VSDM folder and assigns a team member to call the patient, and fax order to the referring physician. On a daily basis-the Scheduler will review any applicable notes, contact patient and coordinate appointment time –within timeframe request by Radiologists, document applicable note and adjust “status” in PACs accordingly. Prepares all biopsy paperwork for the next day such as consent forms and lab’s required. SUPPORTS MISSION, VISION AND VALUES OF THE CORPORATION.
