About The Position

Addus Homecare is searching for a Part Time Service Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for scheduling and supervising in-home care workers and clients in a geographic area. We will train the right candidate. The position is part-time with the potential to move to full-time.

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Boots on the ground recruiting and covering shifts in the field as needed.
• Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Scheduling program.
• Must have reliable transportation (Driver's License, Auto Insurance, Vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Schedules employees as directed by client's care plan established upon intake.
• Processes patient authorizations and communicates with central admissions, enters reauthorizations into client record and ensures chart preparation for all new clients.
• Creates work schedules by entering schedules into the system, manages changes to client schedules due to client request, illness, vacation or leaves of absence.
• Provides alternate coverage to ensure the client's care plan is followed and client services are not interrupted.
• Provides client care and covers critical clients who do not have a backup in place when an aide is unavailable.
• Supervises direct service employees by setting expectations for attendance, performance and conduct, holding employees accountable to the company's policies and guidelines.
• Assists with the new hire process for all new employees and ensures all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
