Job Overview This position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating on-site and off-site specialist appointments for urgent/senior expedited, routine, and follow-up appointments following the approved authorizations, scheduling, and wait time objectives. Responsible for providing clear communication regarding future and past appointments to the PCP and IDT team. This position works closely with members of the IDT team to coordinate services and advocate for participants' specialty needs. Responsible for working in collaboration with Center staff/leaders for the coordination of care for the more fragile patient population. Responsible for providing guidance and training to the Scheduling Coordinator Level I.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
- A minimum of three years’ experience working in the medical or clinical field required
- Medical Assistant Certificate required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with referrals/authorizations and with an Electronic Health System preferred.
- Served in a lead role and experience leading others preferred.
