About The Position

This position supports the Receiving Manager by coordinating the delivery and receipt of approximately 500 pallets daily on a minimum of 25 truckloads, and hundreds of small parcel cases. Responsibilities include working with various freight carriers and NDC personnel to schedule the unloading of material, effective use of dock doors and overall department efficiency. The position also confirms that receipt data matches NDC purchase order information and enters receipts in the NDC ERP. This position collaborates with Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Information Technology areas within NDC as well as third-party operations.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Personal Computer/System literacy is required as well as proficiency with distribution software including Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, WMS, TMS, ERP data warehousing tools such as Sales Cube, Tecsys, Prelude, or Business Objects.
  • Strong skills in planning, analysis, organizing and team building.
  • Excellent people skills, motivational ability and a positive attitude are key to success.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule daily inbound deliveries ensuring new receipts and returns are processed in a timely manner.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with carriers and the NDC Receiving Lead to ensure that shipments are properly unloaded, and the dock is effectively managed.
  • Validate receiving paperwork for accuracy and enter receipts into the NDC ERP.
  • Work directly with various departments including Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Customer Service to research and resolve inventory discrepancies between systems, carriers, and customer inquiries.
  • Monitor and audit receipt transactions and suggest changes that ensure adherence to corporate policies and processes and reduce inventory shrinkage.
  • Create, modify, and execute various reports from various sources including WMS, ERP, TMS and Sales Cube or other tools to monitor inventory movement and capacity to ensure effective slotting is being achieved.
  • Proactively manage damaged shipments and lot-control information to ensure high in-stock levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
