About The Position

The Scheduler position at Eastern Shipbuilding involves developing and implementing project and production detail schedules, as well as other resource planning documents. The role requires monitoring job progress and updating the status of projects in the Planning/Production Control systems. As the company continues to grow to meet customer needs, the essential duties and responsibilities may evolve over time. Regular attendance and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, are essential for this role. The Scheduler will review, assimilate, and interpret technical data, specifications, drawings, estimates, and labor hour reports. This information must be translated into work items under the ESG work breakdown structure, which will then be related to the overall detailed production schedule. The position requires interfacing with the Project Manager, Purchasing, Estimating, and various crafts in the yard to ensure adequate planning and scheduling is accomplished. Additionally, the Scheduler will monitor job progress and update the status of projects assigned in Sure Trak/Primavera, as well as monitor the status of major materials and equipment. The role also involves analyzing schedule information to provide progress updates and possible impacts to the Planning/Production Control Manager. The Scheduler will take progress photos and annotate the photo files, work with payroll on time charge and job cost issues, and assist Project Managers and craft superintendents in managing production control and job cost matters. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
