About the position

A Scheduler job in Tualatin, Oregon is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. Prior experience in scheduling in a manufacturing environment is required. In this role, you will perform various tasks in support of the planning and production functions. Along with grid edits, data entry, preparation of production paperwork to include chance orders, and system improvement research. Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of the scheduling and production functions.
  • Responsible for grid edits, data entry, preparation of production paperwork, and system improvement research.
  • Administration of change orders and backorder resolutions. Prepare change orders, review acknowledgments, and verify delivery dates.
  • Attend appropriate meetings (Backorder and Production) to assist in resolving issues.
  • Use mathematics and formulas to calculate custom grid edits.
  • Enter grid edits into our HFA program once modifications have been completed.
  • Troubleshoot backorder, waste, and system issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of grid edit data, as well as errors with the solutions.
  • Daily grid edits and related product information to improve production efficiencies.
  • Work in a team environment to develop procedures that assist production improvements.
  • Learn the engineering specifications of window lines and provide technical support to the sales team.
  • Execute approved customer change orders as required to assure follow up, completion, and feedback.
  • May be called upon to perform capacity department/product leveling as directed and other duties as required.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED is required. Some college preferred.
  • Proficient in an upper-level mathematics.
  • Prior experience scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous data entry and customer service experience.
  • Ten-key by touch.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the flexibility to work weekends when business needs arise.
