Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Customer service experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for consultations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and follow-up visits.
- Communicate appointment details to patients via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Review orders for correctness and authorization requirements. Request new or revised orders when needed.
- Utilize many different provider portals to verify eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding appointment scheduling procedures, pre-operative preparations, and post-operative care.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) in handling patient information and medical records.
