About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced: SCHEDULER - NURSING DEPARTMENT JOB SUMMARY: Develop and maintain staff schedules for the nursing department, adjusting in real-time to census changes. Monitor staffing levels to ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed and manage staffing shortages. Coordinate staffing coverage for vacations, holidays, and sick leave. Communicate with nursing staff regarding schedule changes and ensure that schedules are posted in a timely manner. Ensure that all scheduling is compliant with company policies and state and federal regulations. Manage and maintain employee attendance records, including tracking PTO and sick time. Schedules new employee training. Ensure All Agency Staff has been properly oriented Complete IT tickets for agency access to payroll and EMR. Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure that all necessary training and certifications are current. Participate in daily, weekly, monthly meetings and quality improvement initiatives related to scheduling and staffing.

Requirements

  • High school graduate, office/clerical experience, demonstrated written/spoken language skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficient computer skills; Excel, Microsoft Word.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with clinical staff schedule in a healthcare environment.
  • Two years of experience in healthcare scheduling preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to healthcare staffing.
