About The Position

Were looking for a Scheduler with Endocrinology experience to join our team and support our mission of improving lives through exceptional service. Our team of board-certified endocrinologists provides comprehensive care for hormone-related conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary diseases, and more. With a patient-centered approach, we focus on advanced diagnostics, cutting-edge treatments, and compassionate care to help you achieve optimal health.

Requirements

• A high school education or GED
• One to three years of similar or related healthcare experience in Endocrinology
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology and billing
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer skills, eCW a plus
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments via phone call, online appointment request and reschedules appointments due to template changes.
• Registers patient appointments and verifies insurance.
• Obtains insurance information does not verify insurance.
• Refers or triages patients to appropriate nursing staff.
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines/regulations/annual HIPAA training.
• Receives communication from patients via the patient portal regarding appointment changes that are needed and to update demographic information.
• Schedules patients for testing procedures.
• Determines appropriate time/types of appointments and procedures.
• Assists with internal referrals to schedule appointment.
• Sends documentation to appropriate parties regarding patient care.
