About The Position

Adult Ambulatory Care The Scheduler-Secretary will: Schedule appointments and/or procedures Greet and register patients Screen incoming calls and determining urgency and how to direct Maintain files

Requirements

  • One (1) to two (2) years experience in healthcare field
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction and positive communication of scheduling information with patients, their families, outside institutions, physicians and other Hospital departments and staff
  • Requires a personality that fosters a team cohesiveness within the workplace
  • Proficient in the use of a computer. Keyboarding skills with a minimum 35 wpm.
  • Requires good office skills and competence with basic office machines
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Requires ability to handle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Requires ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret Physician’s orders
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter; able to motivate others
  • Enthusiastic team player
