About The Position

University Radiology at Cooper is a partnership between University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology services in New Jersey, and Cooper University Health Care, South Jersey’s leading academic health system.
University Radiology’s imaging office is located in Cooper’s new, ahead-of-its-time medical facility in Moorestown, NJ. Patients will have access to the most advanced radiology services along with other specialties all in one convenient location.
University Radiology is looking for a full-time Scheduler/Receptionist for our Moorestown, NJ Imaging Office.
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Requirements

• Knowledge of simple anatomy (e.g. abdomen, forearm, lungs)
• Knowledge of insurances and precertification requirements
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Able to work independently in a high call volume and fast paced work environment
• Team player who can contribute to providing a professional and positive work environment

Nice To Haves

• Prior Scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Answers a high volume of calls, working toward the goal of 9-10 calls per hour in a professional and courteous manner.
• Able to schedule appointments for all modalities; Schedules and reschedules for all JV imaging offices, making every effort to keep the workload even between all locations.
• Obtains current insurance information and is familiar with the requirements of different insurance companies. Makes the patient aware of the potential need for referrals and/or pre-certification.
• Makes certain that the patient understands the necessary preparations and informs him of the need for any necessary lab tests; confirms with the caller the office location/address they are scheduled at.
• Assists with the patient check-in process as needed, including but not limited to: Greet and check in patients. Confirm/enter patient demographic information Validate appointment against the physician order Confirms insurance eligibility Request & collect point of service payments in accordance with payment policies & URG estimation(s)
• Other duties as assigned.
