About The Position

YOU BELONG HERE Summary This is a surgery staff position with responsibility for specified surgery department duties within ENTAA Care. a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC. Location: Odenton ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinates and manages surgery scheduling and patient communication for assigned providers. Responsibilities include scheduling procedures and therapy appointments, handling patient calls and inquiries, sending pre-op paperwork, verifying and authorizing benefits, prioritizing urgent cases, and supporting workflow efficiency. Provides training, cross-coverage, and operational support, maintains confidentiality, and performs Surgery Scheduler II duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED. Work Experience: Minimum two (2) years of computer usage in a medical office setting. Has prior knowledge of basic medical terminology, office procedures, and surgical procedures. Verbal ability to understand instructions, medical terminology and concepts; to communicate with patients and staff and to keep accurate records. Salary Range: Minimum 25.00/hour - Maximum 28.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
